Samaritan’s Medical/Surgical Unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This 24-bed unit provides individual care for adult and pediatric patients recovering from injury, illness and surgical procedures.

The professional, caring team in the department consists of registered nurses, certified nursing assistants and health unit coordinators. All registered nurses and certified nursing assistants are licensed with the state of Washington and are current in basic life support. Many of our nurses have had extensive training and experience in specialty areas. Working as a team, our nurses, case manager and social worker follow patients from admissions to discharge. Individual patient education and coordination of after-care are a major focus for the staff.
